Ouch, that hurts! I'm sure it's not too serious, but how the heck do you get it out of there? I guess you may have to fix it on the spot.

I guess it gives new meaning to the saying "They don't make them like they used to." In a lot of ways to me, the new Hummers are just luxury SUVs not, they're lost their ruggedness.

He snapped a tie-rod .... I've seen that happen once before, where one wheel is spinning like that one was then all of a sudden gets traction, it throws the whole front end in a bind.

I don't see why people make such a big deal out of that video because it's a hummer (aka over-glorified 3/4 ton suburban ;)) .... ....

Here is a Vid that makes you cringe. I knew there was a reason that I am not a huge fan of the H2. Poor Hummer

The H2 has the same front suspension as Tahoes, Subs and Silverados. Don't try that in your truck either if you have a locking front end.

Yep, something like that can happen to most vehicle put in that situation.

That was a lot of weight on the front tire. And it snapped as it was comming down the rock. Then it cought traction as the weight was comming down so all of that at once cause to much stress. And the fact that it is all Tahoe/Sub/Silvy susp up front it really isn't beefy enough to support all that weight from H2. It is a lot bigger than it's older brothers. Yea it is only a Tie Rod but it still hurts. That sound is scary and it is just funny to see the tires going cross-eyed. I had a Tie-Rod break in my dads Escort wagon back when I had my permit. I was on the Highway. Man was that scary. I was only driving for a month and it happened. And my dad was freaked out. HAHA.
