Silverstar Headlight Question

I installed the Sylvania Silverstar bulbs in both the high and low beams. When I use the lows, they emit a bluish light, but when I use the highs, there is no blue tint to them at all. The numbers are as follows, highs = 9005ST and the lows = 9006ST. Has anyone else experienced this? I am just wondering if something is wrong. Thanks

I have them on my truck. I does the same thing. I guess it's the wattage.

the coating is the same on both lamps

but as stated the high beams are 65 watt

that would explain a more white than blue tint

i have them on my truck and they do the same also

still love them

Are the silverstar bulbs brighter? I drive a lot of country roads and I want as much light as possible without adding lights to my grill guard.

I have seen them, but never driven with them.

The Silverstar's give off more of a pure white light than normal headlights that give off more of a yellow light. I know there are a lot of poeple here on the board that use them and are very happy with them.

Won't those bulbs burn the headlight wiring? Correct me if I'm wrong.

I don't think so, I had them on my tahoe for a year and a half and they were awesome

They are just a "whiter" looking bulb but offers about the same wattage as stock, they are a nice improvement.

Sylvania just released the 880 and 893 Silverstar finally. You can get them at their website. $22.49 each. At least the fogs will finally match the rest of the truck.

WOW!!! They finaly put them out cool...........

I will have to get them ordered. Has anyone ordered them and put them in? I was wondering if they put off more light then the factory fogs? I was going to put PIAA's in the factory fog lights place but heard that Sylvania was going to make the silverstars for the fogs, thought I would wait and see if that was a cheaper alternative......

How about PIAA numbers that fit the factory locations? I have the Square fogs not Oval.......
