Muffler Question

I am looking to just replace my muffler with a Flowmaster Super 44. Has anyone done this or have experience just swapping out the mufflers? Sorry I do not have much experience in this aspect of the trucks.

I just had mine swapped I did a mangapro had them cut out the flapper and gonna do the clamps on the mesh in the back by the spare. Sounds a lot better then stock don’t really hear it to much in the cab unless you get on it.

I did this on my 15' with the 5.3. Didnt sound much different until I took out the rear resonator as well. It sounded pretty good. I then clamped open the flapper valve and it sounded great. Unfortunately the drone in V4 mode was ridiculous, not tolerable at all. I put the flapper back. It still sounded good on start up and when you give some throttle. I'll probably do the same on my new one.

I plan on getting a Carven muffler and replacing the stock one and deleting the flapper.
