1979 GMC Jimmy High Sierra

Hi everyone, 

So a friend of mine just purchased an almost new  1979 GMC Jimmy High Sierra from an auction here in Saudi Arabia. We believe the car had been garaged since new, and it doesn't look like a stock Jimmy as you see in the attached photos. We're trying to figure out if it's some special edition of some sort. I tried looking it up but I couldn't find anything that looks like it, nor could I find anything by looking up the VIN number as it's 13 digits from the 70's. Any ideas?
