Poor fm reception

The suburban is truly an amazing suv. But here's is one big issue i have. The fm reception is crap on mine. I mean i can get many stations but its just poor quality  reception. The antenna provided is a cheap wire in the passenger side rear window at the very back. On such a premium vehicle  how could they cheap out like this. My brothers sedona has wire antenna on both driver and passenger sides which works well. Thank goodness i have a deal on Sirius  radio but stil and hd radio stations are good when they come in.  Is there  any solution  to this problem . I so badly want the classic pole antenna on my hood. Is there  a way to improve this rear in window  wire  antenna?
