NP246 Leak

My first time on a forum so I hope someone can help. I have a 2004 Z71 Tahoe and my NP246 T-Case is leaking at the rear output shaft seal. My issue is the fill plug is stripped and I can’t remove it. Is it possible to add fluid thru the snap ring grommet hole until I’m able to get everything fixed and replaced?

what's stripped?  the head of it?  If it's the head, just use vise grips or even a pipe wrench on it.

The head is stripped (rounded). I had a mechanic do a service on it a few years ago and it appears he used an impact to tighten the plug. I’ve tried a pipe wrench, vice grips and every gimmick tool on the marker.

I had a stripped/rounded caliper bolt where vise grips did not work also. I used my hand grinder to flatten either side of head bolt and used an open head wrench which came out with ease.
