GM Locker Making Noise

Can anyone help with the sound the stock GM locker makes? This is my first truck with a locker and I'm wondering if the noise is normal.

 

I would cross a ditch to go up a path and the differential would make a rather loud clunk when the locker would engage. It kinda felt like a slipping tranny when it engaged also.

 

Any ideas?

mine likes to make a loud popping type noise. It has done this since new (fluid has been changed and checked and is a-ok). It is a scray noise especially the 1st time it happened.

Lockers are known to clunk, even the locker in my Polaris Sportsman ATV clunks too

Well, that explains a lot! I want a nice ARB air locker... now where to find a $1K???
