PS2 vs. X-box

Since both systems dropped to $199, i've decided I'm going to buy one of them.

 

So, in your opinion, which is better?

 

I notice the price of games for PS2 are a much larger selection than X-box, and the prices for PS2 Games have dropped while X-box games are all the same price.

 

Also, is there any reason why I shouldn't buy X-Box OR PS2?

In my case, I would get the PS2, simply becasue I could still play all the PS games and use the accessories I already have.  

 

The X-box is still relatively new, so more games will be available as time goes by.

I think my opinion of video games has been said before, as a result I don't think you should be looking at my advice for them.

I've only seen one X-Box and it didn't impress me any more than the PS2.  If you get the PS2 you can still use all your old PS games and controllers.  And the old memory cards work in it for the old games too, they just don't work on the new games.

 

I'm not sure, does the X Box play DVD's too?  I know the PS2 does.

 

I'm getting a PS2 now that they've dropped, I just have to save up a little money first.

I'd get the PS2, there's a lot more games and you can use your PS1 games also

which do you want to do more? support microsoft or sony? xbox is huge and ugly, ps2 is not that big. ps2 will play dvd movies without having to a 30 dollar remote up front (still nice to have). personally i might get a ps2 to go in the truck, replace the dreamcast.

I'm planning on getting that one.

 

I got GT3 (Grand Turismo 3) and WoO Sprintcars.

 

Today I think I'll get Max Payne and either 4x4 EVO2,  Nascar Thunder 2002, Or Grand Theft Auto 3.

 

####, I might just rob a bank and buy all of them!

Well, I have both systems and if I had to keep just one, it would be PS2 for sure.

 

Oh, this topic wasnt sent out to anyone specific, so I'm sure if you dont like video games for some unknown reason, you really did not have to post to this.  :sarcasm:

I would have bought the PS2 as well.

 

I want one, and may get one now, if for no other reason than having a portable DVD player.

Guess what Ryan, I bought 4x4EVO & GTA3 together yesterday. Along with Max Payne.

 

It's awaesome, I spent 12:00am until 3am last night on it, Then as soon as I woke up,I gotright back on (After a little home-school work).

 

Now if you'll excuse me, I've been a bad boy,I must go to my room (With PS2).
