Chevy- silverado for a Brake Problem. Decrease Effort

Im Sure everyone has heard of the recall Chevy put out a few months back about the vacuum pump losing pressure causing brake petal effort to increase.

Well i got the recall "fixed". But i am still having the problem.

Is anyone else experiencing the problem still after getting it fixed?

If so did you take back to the dealership ,what did they do ?

Did you have the issue before the recall was issued? I have a 15 Sierra SLT & I was having issues with it happening before it was "reprogammed", and it's also happened twice since then.. Well today I called a different dealership to get a 2nd opinion, and after expressing my frustrations the service manager pulled up my VIN # and informed me that I was in fact covered for a free replacement of the vacuum pump itself - he said they only look at replacing the pump if someone brings their vehicle in complaining about the issue before the recall was performed. This angered me even more, as I made it blatantly clear to the 1st STEALERSHIP* I went to that the issue was already happening, and they didn't even bring up replacing the pump as an alternative option. I doubt GM will see this post, but if they do then shame on them for putting a low quality brake assist pump on a $54K truck & still allowing people to think they're getting a critical "recall programming update" to their brakes when the only thing it does is restart the computer.
