How do I remove the buttons on the climate control box?

I want to take the buttons off my climate control box and see if I can get some Electronic Spray Cleaner on the rheostats (sp?). When the vehicle is cold you cannot adjust the temp until the truck warms up (parts start to expand). I’m pretty sure if I could get some cleaner on these they will work again. Just can’t pull the buttons off. I’m afraid I will break them if I use too much force. 
I also want to spray cleaner in the mirror control on the door. Same issue, the co facts need cleaning. I don’t know how to pull it. any info definitely appreciated! CNt afford new ones right now.  Thank you

You'll probably have to pull the entire unit out (remove trim panel, remove several screws holding the unit in, and unhook the wiring harness).  The faceplate should come off then, and may be able to remove the buttons after that.
