I have a new alt and bat my 93 5.7 is having charging issues sometimes it will charge fine some times it won't some times its charging and the bat light is on I have checked all connections and grounds.  I'm at wits end

Fusable link? follow the large wire leaving alternator,on top of the intake, check that for bad connection
