03 Suburban Issues After Sitting

Recommended Posts

My friend and I just finished rehabbing a 2003 Z71 suburban that hadn’t ran in 3 years. It runs great but it’s got some electrical issues. It was raining the day we finally took it on the road but it had a constant security light, intermittent brake/abs light, intermittent tire pressure light, chimes related to all of them and the heated seats on the drivers side kept turning back on when they were turned off.

When it was parked it had none of these issues. I’m thinking it’s either a BCM issue or a ground issue. If it’s a ground issue where should we check on an 03 burb. There are no dealers close so we can’t bring it in to have them test the BCM. Any other thoughts?

Security light is probably pass key not seeing the correct resistance in the key.
Abs is probably a wheel bearing
Ghost heated seats are usually the driver door module/switch
And finally the tire pressure is because the batteries are dead in the tire sensors.
That’s my guesses
