2000 Silverado 2 inch suspension lift

2000 Silverado 2 inch or 3 inch suspension lift?

are they made?

I really dont need 4" lift

but I dont want a body lift!!!!

I want a suspension lift

Yes, you can get the smaller 2" or 3" lift kits. Matter of fact I was talk'n to a local offroad shop about doing one on my truck this evening. They wanted $800 to install a Fabtech 3" suspension lift. That included labor. And I think a 3" body lift was around $650 or so. IMO a suspension kit is the way to go. Of course, a nice body lift usually compliments the suspension lift very nicely.

My question is this though....what are you trying to accomplish with the lift? If price isn't much different, then I might consider the bigger lift just for the fact you will have the extra clearance. I didn't check on a 4", just the 3" and 6".

PS - Is your truck a 2wd or 4wd?

Unfortunately, the shortest lift Fabtech has for 4x4s is a 6" lift. The shorter ones are for 4x2s only.

Indeed the lifts I checked on was for a 2wd seeing how my truck is a 2wd. But it don't seem right that they would only offer a 6" for the 4x4's. I could be wrong, but it just don't seem right.

On the other hand, if all you want is a 2" lift and you do have a 4x4 then I guess you could crank the torsion bars up enough for the front and maybe use spacers or blocks in the back. I haven't checked yet to see who makes/sells them, but I'm sure someone does. And that would probably be a whole lot cheaper than a full blown lift.
