Wierd shcok arguement

I started up a arguement about shocks, I want your guys opinions:

 

I was told by a BMW mechanic that putting Bilstein HD shocks on my car would raise up the back end. I e-mail the Tech correspomdent for TWO BMW magazines, and he said that the info is bad, the shocks WILL not raise my car at ALL, how the suspension works won't allow it. I posted that on the BMW board, and a few guys said that they put on those Bilstein HD shock, and it raised there car, they were sure b/c they had measured b4 and after. A couple of us think it may be b/c the shock they had before that were so bad that it they may have "lowered" the car so to speak, and that the new sport shocks raised it back. but the tech guy answered by saying that the car's height was only risen in their imagine.

Hmmm...maybe the tech correspondant is too stubbourn to think anyone else is right?

 

Yeah, you can get into arguments over strange things. I got into it with someone over 1978 F-Series and Bronco headlights...I won.
