I had my car trailer plugged in and the trailer has a seperate batt for the hydraulic tilt. When I went to hook up the trailer batt the + and - touched. Now I have service trailer msg, service stabil trac msg and abs light on. I checked all the fuses and they are all fine.

What could have happened?

I have to trailer a bobcat friday and certainly dont feel safe now.

I would disconnect you trucks battery, let it sit for a while, the hook it back up.

Make sure that you trailer is not connected when you do this, it may clear the codes, or you may have done damage to your BCM.

Thanks for the reply, i left the batt diconnected overnight. Did not help. To be more specific, it was actually the + and - for the break away brakes. They are only like lil 14 gauge wires. you could be right about the BCM but man that would surprise me  that those lil wires did that much damage. it didnt have any codes when i checked with my simple code reader.  think it may go to the dreaded dealer ?

You are very welcome.

Good luck, hopefully my guess about the BCM is wrong.
