How cool is this?

I have been looking for an old high school buddy for about two years. Jimmy and I have not seen or talked to each other for nearly 20 years. Now I'll admit that I haven't been totally dedicated to finding this guy, but whenever I had some extra time, I would sift through phone books and email addresses on the net.

Yesterday, I contacted stoney, one of our members, who is living in the last town that I knew my buddy was in.

This morning he gave me a phone number, not knowing if it was the right guy. IT WAS HIM!

I called and left a message and he returned my call tonight! It was really cool to talk to him. Thanks stoney and thanks GMTC.

Its great how those things can happen..

Happened to us this year as well.. My dad and i are frequent golfers and we figured we should try a new and exciting course so we picked one out of the phone book called and booked a time..

We got there and who was the club pro but my dads best friend that he hadn't seen in 15+ years..

He knew he was worked at a golf course but to pick that exact one was cool.. They caught up on old times after the round!

Hey Friz!   It was probably more exciting for me to know that I could get to old friends back in touch.

Last Thanksgiving my Dad was back in town from Talahassee and we rode over to this place that sells car trailers. They also sell take off wheels and they had a set of aluminum Silverado wheels that I had been trying to strike up a deal on. When we arrived I started talking to the man I had been dealing with, my Dad asked me his name and says"he looks familiar." Turns out the guy and my Dad had served in the same platoon back in the 60's. It was so cool to see my Dad get excited talking about the old military days. You can learn so much from just listening to your elders.

Hope everyone had a great Thangsgiving!
