Well I am trying to pull out into some heavy traffic and I hit the gas, and for about a second there is nothing. It finally woke back up and went and I was able to pull out but that just was not right. Its not like the engine was cold because I had already driven about 30 miles. It did not throw an SES light either.

Mine has done that a few times. I was told by some that fuel pumps tend to have a average life of 170,000 miles in thses TBI trucks, mine has 173,000. but it it has only done it about 4 times in the last 2 years(first was at a drag strip, that was embarassing, ran a 30 after I got it started and floored it), so it dosen't worry me at all, I still haven't narrowed it down, the truc is pretty much perfect in maintaince terms, everything from clean fuel system to good platinum plugs to new trans fluid/filter.
