Tbi not priming when cranking engine

Hey guys, I have a 1992 Chevy k1500 Silverado 5.7l v8 that when I crank over the engine the tbi injectors won't shoot fuel into the throttle body. When I put gas or starting fluid it will start right up. Any ideas? Thank you in advance

Had a 93 Silverado do this.

Fuel pump.

If the fuel pump is working, should I hear the pump? I cant hear it when I turn the key

Just because you can hear it doesn't mean it's producing correct pressure
