Another 4L60E Question

Hello-New to forum and learning a lot. Just bought a 98 Chevy Z71 with 71,000 miles. The truck has the 5.7 and 4L60E. So far I'm quite happy. This truck was previously owned by a G.M. mechanic. The only thing I've noticed, is that I hear a distinct "click" when the transmission shifts from second to third. The trans. fluid and filter was changed before I bought it and the fluid level is normal. The trans. fluid smells normal. The trans. seems to shift o.k. What causes this "click" and is it an easy fix? :sigh:

Rob,

Thanks for the reply. I will take closer note of when this click occurs. I know it's light to medium throttle because I have not driven it hard yet. I'll let you know if the transmission is cold/hot or both. I understand that these transmissions are electronically controlled. Could I be hearing a servo or switch actuate? Perhaps this click is normal? Thanks to all-Lou.
