2020 Silverado 3500 Duramax Side Detection System Delete?

Hello, 

I recently purchased a 2020 Silverado 3500 Duramax. I removed the factory bed and installed a flatbed. Since then it's says on the screen every time it is started to Service Side Detection System. I have contacted multiple dealerships only to have them tell me that they can't do anything to reprogram it. Has anyone had any experience with this and / or is there a wiring schematic available for me to look at? Thanks in advance.

I don’t know, but my guess is that it has something to do with the tailights, rear camera, or possibly the flat side of the bed missing. You could check with the dealer and see if it is possible to program it with the info from a stakebed VIN.

Did the factory bed have integrated sonar like parking sensors? If they were not transferred over I could see something like that. Not sure if GM used sonar or a radar type sensor.

Did you ever find a resolution for this issue? I’m having same problem on my 2022
