Advanced trailering

Has anyone bought and used the trailering cameras that integrate into the dash display? There was a cool commercial that showed the invisible view through the trailer. The supplier of the camera is Valeo. My dealer said it’s unavailable with little explanation.

I have one on the rear of the toy hauler. It works alright for me.

Wow!  Great. Thank you. Do you have side and front cameras as part of factory instal?

That is the problem, you need to have a z71 or higher package+ to get that option.  I have an LT and could not get the option unless I have the rear cargo camera - useless for me as I have a truck cap - not worth paying for.

 

GM sorta shooting themselves in the foot as this would be a sweet "standard" edition to the LT plus packages

Transparent trailer uses an extra camera on the tailgate so should work with cap.

Truck would  have one camera for hitch view and one for trailer view. 

 

If CHMSL has 2 cameras - it will be one for the 'rear view mirror' camera and one as a cargo camera that looks into the bed.  

Neither would work with a cap covering the cameras  (but the cargo view would be neat if it could be relocating to inside the cap)

PTT         Trailer Tire Pressure Monitor Sensors, includes set of 4 sensors. Sensor functionality requires (U1D) In-vehicle Trailering App to be ordered with the vehicle and installed by the factory. Sensors will be shipped loose with the truck and will need to be installed on trailer by customer. System is capable of monitoring up to 6 wheels. Additional or replacement sensors are available through GM Accessories
1 -  Requires (PCM) Convenience Package II or (ZL6) Advanced Trailering Package.
