Daytime running lights

I recently bought a 1996 chevy k2500 silverado. The day time running lights dont work. I checked the fuse. Dose any one know if the bulb is dual philament. any help?

I'm not sure about the bulb...

I do know there is some confusion over which fuse it is though, and it is located in the fuse panel at the end of the dash on the drivers side. I think it is number 13 or 16???

96's used your standard headlight for the DRL's. If it's a halogen capsule 9006 then it's a single filament capsule bulb. If it's a sealed beam style (the whole big bulb) then that is dual filament as both low and high beams are in one unit.

There was a procedure that involved a short somewhere around the firewall that was common on the old C/K trucks but I do not have it on my hard drive here.

Does one side work and the other not?
