sticking guages?

Hi all,

 

I have a small problem that happens from time to time, While driving usually on the highway, I'll need to slow down , and when I get back on the gas, the speedo and tach doesn't move, just sets there like it's stuck. It will change if you have to gl slower, but once you get on the gas again, it doesn move.

 

This problem has also happend a few times driving around the city, where the tach/speed wont move. And a few times at a stop light look down and my speedo is at 10mph????

You didn't change the face plate on your gauges to a white one or anything did you. Ever since I got the white background for my gauges, they work fine, until I turn on the lights....then the tack doesn't want to move to much....the lights must make the overlay expand just enough to keep the tach needle from moving or something....

nope, never changed the face plate or even took it(dash) off from the truck.
