8 speed gear ratio help

Whats up gm fam, has anyone regeared their 8 speed transmision? 

I have a 18 silverado 6.2 4x4 3.23 gear ratio & i'm upgrading to a 6in lift with 35in tires & would appreciate any feedback on what gear ratio i should run to consult for the loss of power

Gear swap aren't as popular with the 6 speed and 8 speed trucks because of how well they are geared inside the transmission.

 

If I was to do anything with those I'd go with 3.42's or 3.73's to make it even better than it would be with 3.23's. You'll need to make the call on whether it's worth the money or not.

 

Tuning the 2017-2018 trucks is a bit more spendy that 2014-2016 model years, so take that into account as well.

I appreciate your input man, I've been quoted $3,400 for 3.73 front & rear gear swap. I'll be ugraded to 35's in the next two weeks hopefully someone can let me know if the gears are worth it or not by then

Holy cow that is a crazy price.

 

You could buy all the parts for probably $1,000 yourself but paying $2,400 for labor on a job like this is just insane.
