IGNITION HELP ??

Ok so I have a 2015 gmc 2500hd, 170000 miles. My key quit turning, so after 2 hours on the job site wiggling it and trying everything, I could to get it to turn.  I popped the covers, off got some pliers and made it turn. I put the pin in and pulled the key tumbler. Once pulled i was able to used remote start, and manipulate the system to drive home.  So next day got new tumbler set and had lock smith code it to original  key and install. I must to broke something on inside when turning it with pliers. Now I have to remote start then install key to turn accessories on to be able to drive key wont starg the truck like it either won't turn enough to start the is no spring back on key like when you start up.
