Just a little contest

Ok, here is a little contest, don't know how many people will take part, but it could be interesting.  There are no prizes (that I know of anyway), but maybe it could be fun.

Now here are two pictures of the crossover toolbox on our truck.  How many items can you correctly identify?

Now before you give me #### about how clean it is, I'll say I just cleaned it out this afternoon, lots of junk accumulating in it and it was getting hard to find the stuff we needed.

I can't see to tell what all of it is, too messy I guess  :( , but I see:

some parts for an electric fence

rope

hammer

cresent wrench

fencing pliers or fencing tool (whatever you prefer to call it, i call them fencing pliers)

a pin

what looks like a punch (probably for tagging cattle)

bottles (with possibly medicine or something for after tagging cattle)

possibly tags in the bag under the punch

bungee cord

can't quite make out what those rod things are on the lower part of the picture are

tie downs for the stake pockets

can't make out what the big thing is to the right of the box.

a fan belt or strap wrench, can't tell which

can't make out what's in the bag in the lower right

some zip-loc bags

oh, and a truck tool box.

That's about like some of the I SPY books my son has.

Wow Tom, I'm impressed, you are off to a good start.  Just a few hints for the rest of you.

Those ain't zip-lock bags.

The big U and threaded rod pieces are all one tool.

Not quite sure which piece was referred to as a fan belt or strap wrench, but neither of those are in there.

Lots of stuff left unidentified!

The big U, is that the black/gray thing just to the right of the cardboard box with the bottles in it?

Right under the rope and what looks like an orange extesion cord (which i forgot earlier).  Maybe a black cord for a power tool or extension cord.

JP,

I think like Tom said the stuff in the cardboard box are items for tagging livestock, right?  Tags, disenfectant, swabs, threader punch etc.

Are some of the yellow plastic items in the right picture electric fence insulators?

And I think I see one of those pole type whips/prods in there.  I go to cattle auctions at fairs in the summer and I see the owners using those when they show their stock.

I got it, a fence strecher.

Yes, the U is to the right of the box.

As for it being a fence strecher, nope, try again.   :(

Well, you are right in that the cardboard box stuff is new calf accessories, no swabs, but the rest is in there.

Yes, those yellow things (and everything else in the box) are electric fence insulators, five different kinds in there for five different style posts.

And yes, there are sorting whips/prods in there, more than one though!

Do I see a chain, to the left of what looks like Cresent wrenches on the right side of the tool box?  The kind of chain found on a chain wrench.

Yes, those are chains, but not for any wrenching.  They are either used by themselves or in conjunction with the rodded shaft/U tool that no one has figured out yet.   :(

OK JP, give a small clue on the big U thing.  I can't make out what it is from that picture, and still really can't see the U part of it.  All I can see is the threaded rods and the part to the right of the box up to the rope.  ???

It is used in conjunction with emergencies in cattle.
