ohskigod Posted December 16, 2020 Posted December 16, 2020 if my 2019 Silverado sits a while (and as it's over a year old and has less than 4k on it, it does that often) it can make a whirring sound on start that goes away at varying times shortly after warm up. Cold seems to make it more prevalent......and it changes pitch with revving the engine. link to vid here (apologizing for my stupid voice being so loud in advance) you guys have any idea? I thought it was maybe power steering fluid but apparently these truck are electric steering? also, the noise can be heard a little more from the wheel well than the top of the engine with the hood open Quote
Bpsawaya Posted December 16, 2020 Posted December 16, 2020 I have more of a whining sound when accelerating or during engining rev up. Very similar but hard to tell in video. Dealer told me it was transmission problem. They waiting for new one to come in to swap out transmission. 2020 AT4 with 6.2 10 Speed. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Quote
