I have 2016 Silverado 1500 LTZ 6.2 L V8 4wd with 55,000 miles I brought to the Chevy dealership for a hard shift Transmission shudder and it’s a TSB for a fluid change. The dealership also noticed metal shavings during the fluid update and now truck needs a torque converter! Has anyone had the same type of problem? Also after the torque converter gets replaced is there a possibility of a future problem down the road? let me know thanks

It's a known problem, plenty of posts and threads about this issue already.

It's a roll of the dice to be honest. If they replace the converter and make sure everything is cleaned out it should still be okay.
