Will NBS front diff gears fit OBS front diff?

My Tahoe has 3.42s, not too bad but I would like to switch to 3.73s. I have a chance to buy a set of front diff gears for really cheap. Are the front sets the same from OBS to NBS or will they not work.

Also does anyone have any idea how this conversion would affect the Auto-trac? I wouldn't think it would matter, just get the ECM re-programmed for the new gears for the speedo.
