Which wire is remote turn on,

When I was running my amp for my 03' Sierra non-Boise system I found that there was no "switched" power wire that you could use for the remote. The radio turns on and off through a data bus from the bcm. What I ended up doing is taking a switched power source from the fuse block I think it was "seoaux” not sure but I will check after work tonight. The only down side to this is the amps are only on while the switch is in the on position. So after you shut down the engine and take the key out the radio will still be on (until you open the door) but the amp will not. I did do some research on this problem and I think that if we take a 4volt relay and connect it to the speaker wire from the radio that it would act as a remote switch for us. I haven't had time to try this yet I bought the relay and hopefully I will get it done around Christmas. I'll let you know how it goes.

I had the same problem and tried every wire on the harness itself. They would either be constant on or not work at all. I finally started checking for fuses that would be powered on when I wanted the amp on and i finally found one. I'll have to go out to the garage in a minute but the amp wil turn on when the key is set to the acc position and turn off when the key is taken out. There was another wire that would keep the amp on when the key was turned all the way back (that 15 minute on thing the trucks have) but I didn't want to run it that way. I'll go check and get back with you in a minute.

Did you get to go to your garage yet and check which wire allows the 15 min power and which one is for power when key is in acc position and off when the key is out?

Thanks
