Hello all, I've been scouring the internet and forms trying to find the answer to my question. I'm looking to lower my 2005 crew cab short bed 4x4 1500hd with a 2/4 drop. 2in or 2.5 drop shackles and removing the factory 2in block. This puts me an inch lower than where my front sits which I have room to go down with the torsion bars. This should leave a 4 in gap between my rear axle bumps and the axle. MY first question is, is this enough gab so that I don't bottom out constantly. My second question is with the 2/4 drop, I am looking to put 20x10 on. I don't have fender flares on the truck so a negative offset won't work as I live in a state where tires over fenders is illegal. What BS, OS, and Tire size would be best? I can only stick past my fenders by about half an in if that. Any help would be appreciated. I've seen lowered HD's but haven't been able to find a lot of information on lowering and how much is to much.
