Just installed the 4 tpms trailer tire sensors that came with the truck, (bought a tpms relearn tool) and did what the owners manual said to try to learn the sensors to the truck. It didn't work, apparently the sensors must be within 23 ft of the hitch receiver.  I measured and am 24' 6" to the front axle.  Trailer is a 40' gooseneck horse trailer.  Anybody have experience with this.  Is there a way to extend the range of the sensors, or buy different sensors with a longer range. It would sure be nice to be able to monitor tire pressures from the dash.  Thanks in advance.

Yeah GM designed these trucks with lots of cool features and the ability to tow an entire house but only allowed the cool features to work with tiny trailers making them

useless.

You also won’t be able to use the invisible trailer feature they are constantly advertising as it doesn’t work with any gooseneck or fifth wheel and even if you had a bumper pull it’s limited to 32’.

Good luck, let me know if you figure something out.

I learned my sensors close to the truck individually because I wanted to see how they worked. Labeled them then installed on trailer later. My biggest problem was the stems were too small and had to install in wheel with large band clamp. Second thing was they only read up to 102 psi and my tires are at 110. I occasionally lose communication with one or two but they come back. All of that said I still use my TST system as I trust it and already own it. Hope that helps.
