Hey all, just bought a 2020 3500 srw denali. I have that message show up every 10 seconds. I have the valve stems in the glove box and have no trailer profile in the app. I took it to the dealer and they dont see any problems. Does anyone have experience with this? How about where is the trailer tire monitor module located? Maybe a module reset will help? Maybe it's bad. Just not sure and getting zero help from the dealer. Thank you in advance!

The module is behind the rear license plate. However, I would check a few things: 1) Is there a profile set in the app on your phone versus the truck? For some reason, they are different and don't sync correctly all the time. 2) I would remove the stems from the glove box. Assuming your truck is used, they might have been programmed at some point. 3) Make sure the DTC code has been cleared, as it might just be an old, stored code. 4) Make sure the dealer has updated/flashed to the latest software. 5) Check to see if your dash unit needs an over the air update in settings.

Hope this helps.

Hey Tomato,

There was no profile on the truck and I reset again in the truck app. I havent connected with my phone, the dealer did do a re-flash yesterday and saw the message in the display in the truck but nothing in their computer. I have pulled the 4 stems out as well. I also connected the truck to wifi and searched for any updates and everything is fresh. I located the module this morning and will tinker with it. I am thinking that unplugging it may clear the fault if it's bad. In other posts, I saw that people have unplugged it with no problems. Thank you for the help on this!!

Good luck on it. Mine would do that with my 5th wheel when a sensor would lose signal (40' 5er too long for signal) before the dealer did a flash update. After the update, a sensor would still go in and out, but it would not trip the whole system and cause the service TTPS system message.

Update: found the sensor. The plug looked crooked so I removed and unplugged. Found pretty good chunks of dry mud in the bottom of the plug even with the rubber seal. Cleaned it all out, re-greased it and the plug went back on easy and even. The message cleared and hasn't been back. I wonder why the dealer wouldn't atleast check something like that? Thank you to all on this forum who helped without even knowing it! Thank you Tomato!

Hey T. Alderman,

I have the same problem with the message popping up repeatedly. When you say “I found the sensor”, do you mean the module behind the license plate? Or another sensor in a different location. I’m thinking I have the same loose/dirty connector issue, as mine occurs more in snow and wet weather, and less in dry conditions.

I did the same thing, unplugged the harness, cleaned and dried it, and replugged it in. Test drive did not result in the message. We’ll see in the next few days…
