For all you Diesel freeks out there I just found a very good article on DuraMax mods in of all places "Chevy High Performance". On page 64 (the article is not on their web site) of the February edition is avery good article about TTS Power Systems mods to a 2001 2500HD D/A. Bottom line - the upperend package produced over 890 ft lbs and 520 hp which netted a corrected 12.36 sec, 109.67 1/4 mile with a 3.78 gear and MT street tires. Not bad for a street driven machine. Makes gasser guys like me jelous!!

I did read the article.It is old news though,people were doing that awhile ago.We will see a Duramax in the 10's real soon.It is very impressive to see a 6500-7000 lb diesel truck run those #'s.And to get 20 mpg makes it even more mind boggling.

Those engine numbers aren't extremely hard to achieve with the correct performance programmer or combination of a couple of them on #2 fuel alone.

 

There are a couple guys who have put out 600+HP and 1200 ft-lbs of torque at a recent dyno (Duramax of course). As always, these numbers are not possible without a beefed up Allison as well. There may have been some nitrous and/or propane added for assistance too
