Trying to track down my Grandfather’s S10…

Can anyone help identify exactly what year and make this S10 is?  Going to have it remade as a gift for my dad (was his dad’s truck)…

I couldn't tell you the exact year but that body style was from 1982-1993 and the extended cab started in 1983.

 

If you knew what engine it had that could help too. The 4.3 engine started in 1988, so if it had that it would be a 1988 or newer. The smaller 2.8 engine would mean it's a 83-93 model and the 4 cylinder ran throughout all those years as well.

thanks for the help.  i don't have the VIN as the truck was sold many years ago.  i'm looking to find the "same" truck...and refinish it for my dad.  

 

i'll dig through their old files and see if i can find the engine detail...

Yeah, without the VIN or any other real information you will have a hell of time finding that exact truck to try and buy back. Or to even figure out the exact year to rebuild it to what that truck was.

Found a video on one, the grill was just swapped with one from an oldsmobile. They says 1988 so prob just look around for any 2 tone red and gray 1988 s10s
