my 03 silverado 2wd xcab is 1" lower in the front and 2" lower in the back on the driver's side. And no I'm not that big a boy... I bought it used but did not notice this until I was washing it the other day. Is there any adjustment in the rear springs to help level it. the front are coils.

thanks for any help. bob b

yea, but thats still kinda retarded. I'd think there would be something you could do. I've never heard of one side's suspension wearing before the other.

I had a 1.5" difference in the front of my 2001 side to side when new and took it back to the dealer. They had to adjust the torsion bars and realign the front end.

I have seen this happen with torsion bars, but with coils up front and leaf springs in the rear I would suspect something might be broken. Take a look at the shocks, leaf spring mounts, look for spacers or mismatched shackles, god only knows what the previous owner did. I really doubt that 26 gallons of gas and a driver would wear the truck down to the point of sitting that far from level.

I just had this problem fixed on my '02 2WD a few months ago. In my case, the drivers side rear (looking from the back) was 2.5" lower than the right. The fix was to install a spacer under the left front spring. GM has a spacer kit to do this. I preferred they installed a new spring, but they claimed the result would be the same. If you get this done, be sure they align the front end. I had to bring my truck back to get this done, since it wasn't mentioned on the work order.

Is the truck still under warranty? Talk to your dealer to see what can be done about it. It doesn't sound right.
