I have a 2021 Silverado 1500 LTZ, 3.0L diesel. At the beginning of summer, I noticed a rattle that sounds like beans in a can at about 750 rpm. Happens in park and while the truck is in drive, but only around 750 rpm. I checked the heat shields. If I put pressure on the pipe while it is happening, it goes away. If I tap on the exhaust pipe, I can hear a rattle that sounds like it is coming from inside the pipe. If I put pressure on the pipe while tapping on it, the sound goes away. Seems to be somewhere starting at the mesh flex pipe or beyond towards the back of the truck.

I’m under warranty, but wanted to see if anyone else has encountered this before I go to the dealership. I’m sure they will tell me this is normal, so wanted to have some ideas before hand. Thanks.

Sounds like rocks. I had a 2015 GMC Sierra that had rocks trapped between the exhaust and a heat shield that would make this sound.
