2013 transmission

Quick question for the tranny guys here. Am I correct that the 2013 transmission is yr specific and can one from a 5.3L interchange with a 4.8L. And anything one should pay attention to when making a purchase. Thanks in advance for ur knowledge and time

The 5.3's in 2013 would only have a 6L80e. All 5.3's from 2010 to 2013 come with 6 speeds.

 

The 4.8's come with 4L60e transmission. For sure you can use a 2010-2013 4L60e to swap with. I think it may even go back to 2008-09 that you could use because all the GEN 4 engines would use a 13 or 15 pin connector.
