Roller rockers

I'd say probably 10hp, 15 at most. I think you could see a lot larger gains by adding headers or something else.

A few things your going to have to check. I think most factory vortec valvesprings reach coil bind at .490" of lift. I'm not sure what the factory lift is on a vortec cam, but 1.6 ratio rockers could put you close to binding the factory springs. Also, I've heard on vortec heads, 1.6 ratio rockers can cause the pushrods to not clear the holes where the pushrods go through the heads. The factory stamped steel rocker arms are 1.5 ratio.

Also, you may have to trim some of the webbing in the valvecovers (really easy) to give the 1.6 ratio rocker arms room. If you want to know more about that, I can send you some pictures on how its done.

You wouldn't happen to know the lift on the factory Vortec 350 cam would you?

Hey Cool,

I'd have to think a lot before adding roller rockers

to a street engine.

If one breaks, you will have many tiny roller bearings

traveling through your engine. This happened to me

on one of my big blocks.
