Recently purchased a 21 AT4. Really like the truck but want to make a few changes. One of the first is leveling the truck so it doesn’t have the raked look.

I see several leveling kits available that are basically spacers. Read another post elsewhere that stated the spacers essentially caused long term wear/tear. I like the factory ride of the truck and want to maintain it. Also I’ve owned a Wrangler in the past and did budget boosts/lifts which were spacers and finally a true suspension lift which rode better but was never quite as good as factory.

I  am not interested in going extreme but just want a good quality level. Hoping some of you can share your experiences, recommendations, etc so I make the right choice.

I own a ‘20 LT, crew cab, short bed. I installed front/rear Eibach shocks. Installed Eibach front coils. See instructions for proper spacing height. Added Falken 275/65/R20 tires. It works for me. Cheers.

If you decide to level the truck I highly recommend changing to aftermarket upper control arms when the level is done. DO NOT USE JUST SPACERS!!  Many companies offer level kits with the upper control arms. There is a very good reason for this. The factory upper control arms are O.K. for stock AT 4. If you level it the stock upper control arms are at too much of an angle and put a large amount of strain on the ball joint. This WILL cause the ball joint to fail catostrophically. (Ask me how I know) Even then be careful on the amount of lift as the front axle angle will be steep. Some lifts recommend not using the "auto" 4wd feature to prevent damaging the axles/transfer case. Obviously all this can still be done, and done correctly. It just depends how much $$$ you want to spend.
