Total 'duh' question; overhead console...

I've got the full console and I've never been able to figure out what to do with the little space in front of the reading lights. It's the spot closest to the windshield. Is that where the comp/temp would go if you don't have it in the rearview mirror?

On Suburbans and Tahoes that is where they mount the rear AC controls.. They may just use the same concole on the trucks and blank off the area. I know on our small blazer they had a display mounted there but have not seen one on a fullsize truck..
