Has anyone added a stek dynoshield ppf to the front of their truck.  Living on a dirt road my 2017 and 2019 got tons of paint chips on the front bumper and grill.  The local shop will install a stek dynoshield for about $1k to cover the whole front bumper and grill.  Like that its a Hydrophobic and self healing paint protection film.  Looking for thoughts and if anyone has done.  Would like to keep this truck looking nice for a while.  Thanks

We are a PPF installer in Dallas, Texas and we use STEK DYNOshield on our installations - as it is the best film on the market right now. As you mentioned, it is a hydrophobic film and differs from the other films on the market with its manufacturing technology (impregnated vs. laminated). No other film on the market right now has the gloss and hydrophobicity of STEK DYNOshield. Here you can find some information about how it compares to other films on the market:

Hope this would be helpful. GM trucks' paint (especially Silverado's) is less resistant to chipping, compared to other makes (RAM and Ford). If your truck's wheel sticks out like the 2500 HD below, PPF is almost a must if you want to prevent chipping.  This truck came with only 200 miles on it, and before installing PPF, we found 8 to 10 chips on the side panels. Not surprising. The owner told us that he drove it on a gravel road several times in the first 200 miles.
