I have a 2020 Sierra with the 3.0 duramax.  Just recently it went in for an oil change and I had them load test the battery.  They determined the battery was bad and it was replaced.  Most of the settings for the truck wasn't changed with the exception of the seat memory.  XM settings and most everything else was still there.  Now at startup i'm getting a pop up showing my DEF range, currently its's around 1500 miles and the level is over half full.  Only time i've ever gotten a pop up message is when its low.  Now its during every startup and you have to acknowledge the message each time.  I can't find a setting anywhere to prevent this.  Any ideas?

Thanks everyone!

Wait...there's a DEF RANGE??  I've never seen an actual range but then again I haven't got a low message yet either.  Sorry, can't give you any tips or solution, but did they happen to do a software update while you were there?

I have a Passat TDI, and when it gets low it gives me a count-down, and warns that when it reaches empty, that car won't run any more.  I think the warnings start, at start up, at 1,000 miles.

If the tank is half full, it should be good for plenty more than 1200 miles.

I just had a warranty repair on my Passat, and they replaced the DEF tank and pump for it not recognizing the tank was full.  Might be an issue with level sensor.

Update: Message still pops up but the mileage hasn't changed.  Always shows 1213.  Keeping an eye on the level indicator to see if it drops.  Maybe disconnect the battery for a few min?  What do you guys think?

Fill up the Def tank. Usually it only reads low when it's actually low or something is wrong with the tank itself.

The day I brought it in for service I had added fluid...i was getting the low fluid message with the mileage left pop up.  I added enough to go 2 bars above mid level. Message went away, gauge level looked correct, battery got changed and thats when the mileage remaining of 1213 started coming up.  I'll try disconnecting the battery and give an update.
