slip-clunk

My truck is a 1999 Suburban K1500 w/5.7 Vortec and 4L60E trans with Auto-trac. I'm noticing an occasional slip/clunk that feels like one wheel is on ice when I first start off. It doesn't happen all the time but is most noticeable when I am starting off and turning at the same time. Any opinion on where to look?

I didnt know the old bodystyles had the slipyoke problem, which is what it sounds like.

That's what I was thinking, it sounds and feels much like my 77 that had the split driveshaft with a slip yoke at the carrier bearing. I didn't know if this could happen with a one piece driveshaft.
