just picked up a 2016 2500HD LT from the dealer last night. the remote start isn't working. I've gone through all the googling and we have none of the issues that would prevent it from working. no check engine light, hood is secure, fuel is full, in park, oil levels are good, battery on the fob is working, etc. I've tried to find if there's a fuse to check and can't find one for the remote start in the manual and on google. also went into the settings on the infotainment screen looking for a remote start setting and couldn't find one. short of getting on OBDII and checking for codes... what else is there to do?

What is the procedure you are using to try and remote start? Just to clarify, start by pressing the lock button once, wait a second, then press and hold down the remote start button for a couple seconds. You should see the parking lights flash again, then stay on steady and truck should start.

I am SO sorry for not replying earlier. I wasn't notified I got a response. We finally got it to work. the instructions I found online said to unlock your truck first then start the procedure. we randomly figure out it needed to be locked.
