Will this trans work in a 1993.?.  Same vehicle swap.. (1996 Silverado 4x4 into 1993 Sierra 4x4 )This 96 trans is newly built. Wanted to save for a better project. But I have it. What would I need to change to make it work ?

both 4l60es? should be plug and play I believe, do a visual to make sure everything is the same as far as electrical connectors, overall length etc if it matches you are good to go

bell housings might bolt up different, and thats all the changes im aware of

Chevrolet engines all have the same bell housing bolt pattern up to 1999. the only difference may be in the cover for the torque converter but where they are both 4x4 that should be the same

4l60e Transmissions are interchangeable from 93 to 95. 96 they changed to the obd2 system and changed the trans electronics
