The Wester's were installed in the trucks about a week ago. I can't say enough good things about these computers. The 00 really responded to it and drives like a totally different truck (in the good way :D ) Getting rid of torque management definetly makes for fun driving in the snow :bs:

It really woke the 96 up to. Tranny shifts alot harder and it seems to respond quicker when you mash the gas.

Fuel milage also seems to up in both trucks even though it wasn't a concern

I give this product and the people behind it :P:thumbs::lol::lol::D out of 5

I am glad you like it.I have a Westers 93 octane tune for my truck also and it made a hugh difference.I just got a new gtech pro comp.meter and ran it in the 1/4mile. 60FT was 2.30SEC,0-60 was 6.96 SEC,1/8mile 9.86 SEC at 72 MPH,and 1/4mile at 15.47 at 89 MPH.I ran 10.5's in the 1/8 before the Westers tuning and now it runs it in 9.86SEC,big difference :seeya:

Does Westers have a chip or computer for 95 5.7's and if they do what kind of improvement (hp) can I expect. Thanks.

augiedog77, how much better was the Westers over the Hypertech? Did it pull 10 times harder, or was it just barely noticable.

My friend I race with has a 2001 GMC C3, he had the Hypertech in his with the 93 octane tune, running 93 octane. Best he ran with it was 15.6. I talked him into getting a Wester's and he ran a 15.2 with no other changes. I had a Hypertech in my 2002 6.0 about a year and a half ago. I could hardly tell if it was installed or not. I was disapointed in it. The Wester's is like night and day, I went from 16.1 stock to 15.3 with the Wester's tune. Big boost in power and throttle response. Feels like I put a big block in it. That's my experience!

Before the Wester's my brother had everything but the fans installed when he upgraded. after he installed the Westers it was like the truck actually responded to everything that he had done. It was quicker off the line (will actually break the A/T's loose in the rain, hypertech never could), shifted better, pulled harder, and finally beat my buddy in a 99 4.8L RCLB 4X4. they were pretty even till the 4.8 got a cat-back and then he had a slight edge. Now my brother will pull half to 3/4 car length on him (again, before the fans). no track times yet, grounds just starting to thaw up here :sigh:
