Hey guys,

I that this has nothing to do with trucks but you guys know everything. We have a 1991 Bukic la saber that has little heat and takes a long time to get what it has.. It's been like this as long as we can remember. The coolant system has been flushed, thermostat changed. Not sure where else to look. Anyone have any ideas?

your evaporator core in the heater box is probably plugged, you can try remove the heater fan to see if you can feel the inside of it, if you can spray some antibacterial cleaner in there and let is soak, then spray it out with a garden hose.It will drain out of the heater box. If that doesnt work take it to you gm dealer for them to take it out and clean it. 4.5 hours of labour it should cost.

I had a simular problem in an older bronco. What had happened is, it started leaking antifreeze inside the cabin. I used a stop-leak product. Well it worked so well, it clogged the Heater Core itself and blocked all circulation through it. Hence no heat or very little. I ended up replacing two of these before I realized what was happening. I also recommend never using these socalled stop leaks. All they do is plug the system. After a radiator and two heater cores, a lifes lesson was learned.

(the last heater core busted wide open to reviel the clog, tis how i found it)

cheers all. hope this helps.
