2014 GMC Sierra 1500 Hood Open Notification

Howdy everyone,

 

I was wondering if y'all could help me out here with this very strange electrical issue. For the past year or so I have had an issue where my pickup will give me the "Hood Open" notification whenever there are too many amps being drawn from my battery. These instances include: rolling up or down any window, AC all the way up, music all the way up, brights on + music, brights + AC, AC + music, or basically any other combination of things you can think of that will draw power. 

 

I have replaced the battery (it was the OEM battery I replaced because those batteries typically do not last too long anyway), alternator, and hood latch sensor.

 

I don't know if I have a bad ground somewhere or maybe I have more sensors that need replacing. The only other thing I can think of is that maybe I have short somewhere in my wiring harness. I really just could not tell you, but one thing is for sure: this is really starting to get aggravating.
