Foam pad at the base of the windshield.

What is this?  Does every GM truck have this?  On mine it’s very sloppily applied and looks terrible. Think I’m gonna just rip it off.

My truck doesn't have that foam strip visible up by the windshield. Has the windshield on your truck been replaced? I don't think I would rip it out. This may be a windshield seal. Maybe consult with an auto glass installer?

They use urethane for sealing the windshield, not stuck on foam. I haven't looked at my truck yet, but it's most likely to prevent the dash pad from rattling against the windshield. What year is the truck and did you buy it new or used?

Bought it used. It’s a 2019. I ended up taking it off. It was halfway coming off anyways.
